Appreciative Inquiry Interview - April 2009
This video was made in April 2009 when Andrew interviewed Bill Schulenberg (Connected Families in-home therapist), Tanya Sabol (Investigator), Sherry Amelse (Investigator), Carole Cole (Investigator), Chad Hayenga (Connected Families in-home therapist), Andrea Robideau(Connected Families in-home therapist), Nicole Mercil (Ongoing child protection worker), Amy Racich (Ongoing child protection worker), Melissa Shimitz (Ongoing child protection worker) about their use of the Signs of Safety in their practice. This video focuses particularly on safety planning and involving networks at all stages of the child protection task. This video captures the fact that the confidence of the Carver practitioners in using the Signs of Safety ideas continues to grow and their work with the approach keeps getting better.
The Department for Child Protection in West Australia has chosen November 12, 13 and 14, 2012 for its second Signs of Safety Gathering. All 23 districts from around the state will present as well as three international presentations. This Gathering will provide an end-to-end picture of a comprehensive system-wide Signs of Safety implementation. Participants from overseas and elsewhere in Australia are welcome though places will be limited.
