Strengths-based, Safety-organised Child Protection Practice
Andrew can provide training, consultancy and conference presentations in the following areas:
- Signs of safety approach to Child Protection and Child Welfare practice
- Resolutions approach to working with ‘denied’ and disputed child maltreatment
- Service recipients’ experience of child protection practices
- Comprehensive, participatory child protection risk assessment
- Meaningful, rigourous and participatory safety-planning in situations of serious child abuse
- Involving children in dealing with situations of serious child abuse in which they are caught up
- Solution-focused brief therapy particular its use with families and in situations of abuse and trauma.
- Building organisational and professional capacity for partnership with families and collaboration among professionals.
- Organisational consultancy on processes for implementing strengths-based, safety-organised child protection practice. Andrew also acts as consultant to child protection agencies and organisations who are engaged in long-term implementation processes.
