Signs of Safety Gathering March 2010

The 3rd International Signs of Safety Gathering on March 29 to 31 at Oak Ridge Hotel and Conference Center Minnesota is FULLY BOOKED. The Gathering will feature presentations from agencies using the approach in North America and around the world. While no more places are available video of all presentations will be on the site from mid April.

NEW Signs of Safety DVDWe are delighted to announce the completely new Introduction to Signs of Safety DVD including 32 page workbook is now available. This 65 minute DVD is subtitled in Danish, Dutch, English, Japanese, Swedish and Russian and comes in both PAL and NTSC formats.

Signs of Safety Meetings in Western Australia

As part of its system-wide implementation of the Signs of Safety, the Department for Child Protection in Western Australia is moving to use Signs of Safety meetings as a key mechanism for building and focusing professional and family collaboration on child safety. The promotional flyer for promoting these meetings is linked here. The first phase of using Signs of Safety meetings was focused on pre-birth planning with pregnant mothers facing high-risk situations.

Sonja is a Social Worker who has used the Signs of Safety approach in statutory, hospital and family preservation child protection contexts. Sonja’s work with Resolutions focuses on training and consultation, as well as direct practice with families.
