The safety and well-being of everyone who attends a Signs of Safety event is always our priority. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic and the travel and meeting restrictions that are currently in place throughout the world, we have rescheduled this event to 1–2 December 2020 with the Leaders’ Day scheduled for 3 December 2020. Everyone who has already registered for the event will be receiving communication from our team in Sweden with further details regarding this. Thank you for your understanding, stay healthy, and hope to see you in December 2020!

Signs of Safety has a long history in Sweden and has grown profoundly, deepening its roots in local municipalities over the last years. Organising a local Gathering is the next major step towards whole system implementations of Signs of Safety in Sweden, and quite a few municipalities have already started their journey. The core and driving force of Signs of Safety is the practice, and to honour this there will be a two-day Gathering that will serve as a learning journey for practitioners and leaders who will be the audience as well as the presenters. The theme of the Gathering is “A difference that makes a difference – voices from social workers and families”, and this will be reflected in the presentations.

On the 3rd of December there will be a Leaders’ Day with the municipality of Jönköping. This day will focus on the Signs of Safety’s Theory of Change, the Mission Critical Roadmap, and dig deeper into the whole system implementation journey with both international guests as well as leaders from Swedish municipalities. There will be a presentation by the Elia’s Director of IT and Alignment, Pippa Young, about aligning recording systems with practice. Furthermore, we will hear from Cormac Quinlan – Director of Transformation and Policy and TUSLA – about the journey of whole system change in Ireland.

The Gathering will mainly be in Swedish, but we will provide interpretation when needed.

Rydbergssalen has a maximum capacity for 290 attendees. The Leaders’ Day maximum capacity is 50 attendees. Additional to the Gathering and Leaders’ Day, there will be a dinner and dance on the night of the 1st December.
