Safety Networks

The Safety Network 3-part workshop will equip participants with the disciplines and skills to support caregivers in finding their naturally occurring networks. Participants will learn how to effectively assess, facilitate safety planning network meetings, and help caregivers and networks sustain long-term safety plans.

Join other staff in an innovative, creative, and exclusive 3-part series focused on bridging the gap, improving, and enhancing participants’ capacity to help families succeed. Utilizing a bit of teaching, case examples and mostly group work, participants will be challenged, learn from each other, and enhance their skill set.

Facilitated by Avi Versanov and Cynthia McLeod, licensed Signs of Safety Trainer and Consultants.

These half-day workshops will help participants:

  1. Understand the difference between safety and support network participants
  2. Establish network ‘ground rules’
  3. Build a repertoire of questions to resolve challenges
  4. Practice using innovative methods, tools, and processes
  5. Utilising our sophisticated practice knowledge to manage the initial network meeting
  6. Building skills to build trust and manage network dispute
  7. Building and enhancing skills to manage network capacity/willingness and confidence
