South Carolina Department of Social Services began their journey with Signs of Safety in 2012. They have worked really hard during a period when the department has been under considerable political pressure. The Region 1 Performance Coaches created a newsletter to capture the impact this approach makes in their practice. Recognising the parallel process that exists within the organization and their clients, these coaches are identifying the bits of work that are going well and building on it to create momentum as they implement this framework.
