Licensed Signs of Safety Trainer & Consultant 🟠🔵
Throughout his career, which has included counselling roles with ‘at-risk’ youth and families, program evaluation roles within government, teaching roles within local universities and colleges, and independent consulting roles with non-profit organisations, Mike strives to illuminate ‘what works’.

Mike has supported Signs of Safety implementations across Canada (both in mainstream and First Nations systems), as well as in the United States, Australia, England, Sweden, and the Netherlands. These international experiences have helped Mike have a greater vision for what good practice and implementation can look like within and across contexts, systems, and cultures.

As the Director of Research for Elia International, Mike has contributed to various publications, journal articles, book chapters, and evaluations as he pursues an understanding of how to meaningfully measure what works, for whom, when, and under what circumstances. Mike believes this will help the work grow to be as efficient and effective as possible.

Mike has a Masters of Social Work (Clinical) and is a Registered Social Worker with Manitoba College of Social Workers in Manitoba, Canada.
