Be sure to view this report from Australian 60 Minutes on the work of Tara Winkler and the Cambodian Children’s Trust (CCT) in Battambang, Cambodia. Through its holistic family based care model CCT provides education, health, employment, social and practical support for families in their communities so that children can grow up safe in homes where they belong rather than being placed in orphanages.
CCT has chosen the Signs of Safety as the practice approach to underpin its family based care model and to help its social workers work with children, parents and their communities to keep families together and children safe. The Signs of Safety community will soon announce a partnership with CCT to work together to help these families.
