Licensed Signs of Safety Trainer & Consultant 🟠🔵
Jill Devlin is a New Zealand Registered Social Worker and has worked in Social Services for over 30 years. She was instrumental in Open Home Foundation implementing the Signs of Safety approach across the organisation in 2005. Since then she has been a fervent Signs of Safety practitioner mentoring social work teams and assisting them to develop their skills in the use of the approach.

In 2013, Jill became a licensed Signs of Safety Trainer and has provided training and mentoring to organisations in New Zealand and Australia in the Signs of Safety approach. Andrew Turnell says that the ‘engine room’ of Signs of Safety is the use of Appreciative Inquiry and this is one aspect of the approach that Jill is really passionate about. She has seen how it can make a difference from the top of an organisation to the bottom and create an environment where people can grow and develop.

Another aspect of the Signs of Safety approach Jill is passionate about is the creation of Words and Pictures for children in care. She has a significant interest in the area of foster care and the use of the Signs of Safety approach.

Jill has attended international Signs of Safety gatherings in the USA and Australia and has presented at several international gatherings.  She presented on Words and Pictures at the November 2012 International Signs of Safety Gathering in Western Australia and in 2016 in Western Australia on Appreciative Inquiry.
