Licensed Signs of Safety Trainer 🔵
Miriam has been working in child and youth welfare for over a decade and has established herself as a specialist in the child protection team. After attending her first basic training in 2018, Miriam recognized the transformative potential of Signs of Safety. She was deeply excited by the opportunity to focus on children's well-being while promoting collaborative work with parents. Since then, she can no longer and does not want to imagine working without the principles and tools of Signs of Safety.
However, Miriam's commitment goes beyond her job. As a resident of a housing project in Wilhelmsburg, she is in the middle of a diverse community and now lives there with her family. This experience showed her how important it is to share different perspectives and take a life-world-oriented approach to her work. Miriam believes this is the key to effective support and intervention in child protection.
The visual aspect of Signs of Safety is particularly important to Miriam. She recognizes the powerful impact of images and symbols to make complex concepts understandable and improve communication. Her mission is to advance this visual approach within her team and beyond to strengthen the effectiveness and reach of Signs of Safety. With her passion, expertise and commitment, Miriam is determined to make positive changes in child protection and sustainably improve the well-being of children and families.
