Licensed Signs of Safety Trainer & Consultant 🟠🔵
Diana Nikosjkova has worked as a social worker in child and youth departments in Sweden since 2012. She has consistently applied the Signs of Safety approach in her work with families and has suported colleagues and leaders in implementing the methodology.
In 2018, Diana participated in an international Signs of Safety gathering in Ireland, where she presented her work on safety planing. In 2020, she was invited to speak at a national conference in Sweden on the theme of child abuse, sharing her work and insight into safety planing.
Seeing the positive impact that she and her colleagues´work had on children’s and youth’s safety, wellbeing and ability to live a succesful life, Diana decided to become a licensed Signs of Safety trainer and concultant. Her goal: to support more organisations in implementing the approach effectively.
Since 2021, she has provided training and mentoring to organisations across Sweden, working with front line child protection services, foster care and high-risk youth. Diana's specialty is helping social workers build and engage extended social networks around children, youth and families. She is one of few professionals in Sweden who has successfully developed success planning with youth and their networks.
Diana currently works full-time as a Signs of Safety trainer and consultant at Förändra Famileliv, where she supports social workers, team leaders and senior managers across Sweden. Her work includes training, supervision, implementation strategies and organisational evaluation.
